Tbilisi, the Ring of Bells, and a Reunion of Friends: A Story of One ACEX Shipment

Tbilisi, the Ring of Bells, and a Reunion of Friends: A Story of One ACEX Shipment.
Sometimes it seems that people restore churches. In truth — they restore us.
There are shipments that carry more than metal and weight. They carry sound, memory, and meaning. Today, October 28, the ACEX Moscow team delivered three bells to the Roman Catholic Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Tbilisi — cast from a copper–tin alloy, with a total weight of 150 kg (the largest — 90 kg).
It feels like a continuation of our shared tradition: the churches are calling us. Once again we find ourselves on a route where logistics meets human warmth and faith. Earlier, we wrote about the Exaltation of the Cross Church — about how care multiplies good deeds. If you missed it, take a look at our piece: “When It’s Customary to Be Silent About the Good, We Simply Share a Miracle.”
The church itself is a special landmark: it was built in 1870–1877, and during his historic visit to Georgia in 1999, Pope John Paul II celebrated a solemn Mass here.
“I want to hear them ring”
The project was led by Ekaterina Gubareva, ACEX Operations Expert. We asked her to share how it felt — and received very warm words in return:
“With shipments like these, you feel a special warmth and a sense of belonging. You realize it’s not just logistics — it’s a small spark in a shared good cause. I really want to hear these bells ring one day. Looks like I’ll have to plan a trip to Tbilisi,” Ekaterina smiles.
A meaningful point on our 2026 map
Indeed, Tbilisi has a special pull for us. In 2026, the ACEX (Moscow) team plans to take part in the Logistics Alliance Conference in Tbilisi, together with partners from different countries. And we already have a must-do on the agenda: a joint visit to the Church of Saints Peter and Paul to hear the bells together within its historic walls — and to remember how logistics connects people, cities, and meaning.
Logistics that resonates
Logistics is about precision, timing, and responsibility. But sometimes our work quite literally resonates: in the bronze voice of a bell that will welcome parishioners and guests, bringing into harmony the efforts of dozens of people — from foundry workers and packers to forwarders and air carriers.

Our thanks to the client for their trust, and to colleagues and allies for standing shoulder to shoulder.
See you in Tbilisi — at the Alliance Conference and at the doors of the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, where goodness always rings louder.
