Traveling Cargo

Груз-путешественник The end of the year is a hot time for all companies - deadlines are burning, suppliers are in a hurry to send shipments as quickly as possible, and impatient customers are waiting for them at the end points.

And at this point, some problems can occur on either side. Thus, a cargo carrying a THOR electronic exhaust system from Russia to Japan was returned at the transit point in Istanbul back to Russia after a thorough inspection at customs in Turkey. Turkish customs so exquisitely decided to make a joke in the last "hot" days before New Year's Eve and began characterizing cargoes related to "electronics" and "spare parts" as prohibited for shipment to the final destination.

But the ACEX staff was not confused here either.

"We promptly re-registered the returned cargo through Domodedovo airport right after the January holidays, as, unfortunately, no one at the terminals was working, and loaded it onto the nearest Ethiopian Airlines flight. This time it flew via Addis Ababa, and from there onward to faraway Japan," says Ilya Popov, Key Account Specialist at ACEX. "The cargo has successfully arrived at its destination Tokyo, Japan."
