At CARGO-EXPRESS, a lecture dedicated to the transportation of dangerous goods by air was held.
It was conducted by our Dangerous Goods Specialist, Vladimir Tsyntsar.
During the lecture, key aspects directly affecting the safety and speed of delivery were thoroughly covered:
- regulatory framework governing the transportation of dangerous goods
- shipper responsibilities and liability
- classification of dangerous goods
- packaging and labeling requirements
- specifics of transporting lithium batteries
- real-life examples of violations and their consequences
In addition, the lecture addressed recent changes to IATA regulations concerning the transportation of items containing lithium batteries (lithium metal and lithium-ion) in the cabin of passenger aircraft, which came into force on January 1, 2026.
Special attention was given to incidents and accidents involving dangerous goods. Real industry cases were analyzed to demonstrate the potential consequences of errors — from flight delays to catastrophic outcomes. These materials clearly confirm that compliance with air transport regulations for dangerous goods is not a mere formality, but a critical element of safety.
